OfficePools allows for your Football Pick'em pool format to be based on either Straight-Up or Spread. This article clarifies the difference between the 2 types.

Straight-Up: In this Pick'em type, the poolie makes their predictions based on the actual outcomes of the games. For example, if the poolie predicts that Seattle will beat San Francisco. They are correct as long as Seattle wins the game in real life.

Spread: In this Pick'em type, the poolies makes their predictions based on the spread outcomes of the games. For example, if Seattle is favoured by 4.5 points over San Francisco:

The poolie has the option of either predicting that Seattle will win by at least 5 points by selecting SEA -4.5

OR

predicting that Seattle will NOT win by at least 5 points (4 points or less) OR San Francisco will win outright. They do this by selecting SF +4.5.

OfficePools allows for your Football Survivor pool format to be based on either Winner or Loser outcome. This article clarifies the difference between the 2 types.

Winner: In this Survivor format, the poolie makes their pick based on who they think will WIN that week. If their team wins, they survive. If their team loses or ties, they lose a life.

Loser: In this Survivor format, the poolie makes their pick based on who they think will LOSE that week. If their team loses, they survive. If their team wins or ties, they lose a life.

Pick'em is a game where participants predict the winner of every matchup on the picking schedule. Points accumulate for every correct prediction.

OfficePools employs a rolling deadline for Pick'em. This means that the cutoff is based on the individual game. In football, poolies can make their Thursday night game mid-week, and then come back to the pool on the weekend to make their picks for the rest of the week. Picks can be changed right up until the start of the respective game.

Survivor is a game where participants predict the winner or loser (depending on pool format) of one game per picking period.

Unless the poolie is making their pick from a Thursday game - our football Survivor has a hard cutoff of the first game of the week that is played AFTER Thursday. Please see this help article for further detail. If a poolie does not make their pick in time for this cutoff, they will lose a life.

If a tie occurs, it is the same as getting your pick wrong. So if your format is WINNER - your pick must WIN to survive. If your format is LOSER - your pick must LOSE to survive.

Please refer to this support article for details on football tiebreaker.

If a Tie occurs in a football game, it is treated as an incorrect pick in OfficePools Football Survivor. Your predicted outcome must be achieved, therefore:

Winner format - If your pick Loses or Ties, you lose a life.

Loser format - If your pick Wins or Ties, you lose a life.

Please refer to this support article for details on survivor pick deadline.
